“Pick Up the Phone”

A phone is a device that we use to communicate with others along with other activities as technology grows. You often here older generations/people say, “all you had to do was pick up the phone”, which means by simply picking up the phone to call your need/want could’ve been met!

It’s similar to our relationship with God. We can call on Him at ANYTIME and expect Him to answer EVERYTIME. God is more than able to met your need/want! Follow along below with a study on “call”.

The call! “The Lord is nigh unto all them that CALL upon him, to all that CALL upon him in truth.” Psalms 145:18 KJV

“And CALL upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.” Psalms 50:15 KJV

How do we call upon Him in truth?/What is truth? “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6 KJV

“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and TRUTH came by Jesus Christ.” John 1:17 KJV

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and TRUTH.” John 1:14 KJV

An answer! “And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will ANSWER; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.” Isaiah 65:24 KJV

A guide to calling:  “For there is no difference between the Jew and the
Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that
call upon him.  For whosoever shall CALL upon the name
of the Lord shall be saved.  How then shall they CALL on
him in whom they have not believed? and how shall
they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and
how shall they hear without a preacher?  And how shall
they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How
beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of
peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!” Romans 10:12 – 15 KJV

“As for me, I will CALL upon God; and the Lord shall
save me.  Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I
pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.  He
hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that
was against me: for there were many with me.  God
shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of
old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore
they fear not God.” Psalms 55:16 – 19 KJV

1. You need a preacher who is sent from God so
you can hear to believe and CALL on Whom you
believe in! (Jesus!)
2. -What will happen when you CALL upon God?
“The Lord shall save me.”
-When do you CALL upon God?
“Evening, and morning, and at noon.”
-How do you CALL upon God?
“Pray, and cry aloud:”

Can I say another thing???

If you take anything from this blog, take the advice to call on the name of Jesus. ❤

DeHonee 🙂

P.S. The Hebrew word qara shows that call and cry are
used interchangeably. So to cry out/aloud to God is calling.

Siyach is the word used for pray which means to talk, speak, commune, meditate, and/or complain. (Im tryna make it to the promise land though so ill omit complain.) Let us call God through prayer/communing with Him!
