Without Spot or Wrinkle.

EVERY time, and I do mean EVERY time I iron my uniform for work I hear the Holy Ghost saying “without spot or wrinkle”. Sometimes I’m in a rush and “without spot or wrinkle” seems too time consuming and I’m thinking, “people aren’t even gonna see this part under my vest”! The Holy Ghost will not go back and forth but simply reply again for the second and final time, “without spot or wrinkle”.

God often uses the natural things of my job to minister to me spiritually. 1 Corinthians 15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

My uniform can represent the church and the armor of God. When I’m ironing my uniform God reminds me the pieces of my uniform should be without spot or wrinkle just like the church and armor.

God is coming back for a church without spot or wrinkle! I’ll liken it to my uniform but let’s look at it from a wedding’s point of view for a moment….when you see that bride coming down the aisle!!!! Her dress does not have a spot or wrinkle because she literally spent all the time prior to that moment preparing! Ephesians 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. The same with my uniform. My job is expecting me to come as they asked me to and respect my uniform by being presentable/acceptable. This blog is making me want to jump out of my skin…not too mention be without spot or wrinkle!

The armor of God is another representation of my uniform. The company I work for does random uniform checks and if I don’t have all of my “accountable items” I’m not eligible to work. My badge is one of the most important parts of my uniform because it is how I am identified as a worker and how I obtain the privileges that only workers get. I am so excited because I know y’all can see where I’m going with this one!!!!! The armor of God is not only the protection we need from the wiles of the devil but it is also the things which separates us and identifies us as Christians. The helmet of salvation alone identifies who we are! A Christian gets their name from Christ and Christ is our salvation! He is the redemption plan/salvation for us! According to the Webster dictionary, salvation is deliverance from the power and effects of sin! If we didn’t have salvation where would we be?! 1 Corinthians 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. The breastplate of righteousness…. 2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. I almost went through the whole armor y’all!!! But you can understand how we need to be intentional about the armor of God because without it we can lose certain privileges. No i’m not fired when I don’t have every piece but it hinders me from working and what’s the whole point f having a job…to work. Let’s relate that to Christianity….we need to be able to stand and withstand the wiles of the enemy so that we can accomplish our purpose here on earth!

I’m going to be honest. I could’ve stayed in that last paragraph for a good while. That may have to be it’s own blog…whew!

I love that God can make it plain using the natural! What is also comforting is that it is very well possible that I can show up to work without spot or wrinkle! My job didn’t ask me to do what was impossible! Believe that with the cleansing of the Word we can all be without spot or wrinkle. Be encouraged today!

Can I say another thing??

No matter what….God is still God!
