“Little by Little”

“Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the Lord thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible. And the Lord thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee. But the Lord thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed.” Deuteronomy 7:21-23

Most things in life have a process and this passage of scripture is an encouragement for us. God is doing it, step by step.

Could God create the world in one breath, wink, or thought? Of course! He is definitely that powerful and awesome! But He chose to do it day by day.

We know that God has purpose to everything He does whether we understand it or not, so we know that processes/step by step/little by little has a purpose.

Could God create a fully developed baby as soon as conception occurs(which is also a process)…of course He could! But He decided that 9 months would be the suggested time frame.

Could God send Jesus as our salvation shortly after Adam and Eve sinned? Surely He could but what happened from generation to generation in between these times is important!

Could Jesus come back right after He sent the Holy Ghost? Of course! He chooses not to because what happens in between is important! (Especially for you and me!)

The process is important.

Remember “little by little” and put your process in the blank. “[…]And the Lord thy God will put out those _____________ before thee by little and little: […]” (Deuteronomy 7:22a)

We have the victory!
